Frank Spinale, MD, Ph.D.
CEO, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Frank Spinale, MD, PhD, is a highly regarded cardiovascular scientist and Professor of Surgery, Physiology, and Cell Biology at the Medical University of South Carolina and the USC School of Medicine. For over two decades, his research has focused on cardiovascular remodeling, particularly in heart failure, a leading cause of death in South Carolina. Dr. Spinale has authored over 400 peer-reviewed publications and serves on editorial boards for multiple scientific journals. An inventor and NIH grant recipient, he is developing a microdialysis/microfluidics system for cardiac surgery. He directs the Cardiovascular Translational Research Center, advancing collaborations across departments and institutions. Dr. Spinale holds fellowships with the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology.
